Take a Closer Look at Specialty Programs at Wilson College
Veterinary Studies Focus Day
November 17, 2018
This event is for students whose focus is animals, big and small: future veterinarians or vet techs who will learn about our majors in Animal Studies, Veterinary Medical Technology and our Pre-Veterinary Medicine program of studies.
Tour our 300-acre campus and explore our on-campus facilities which include:
The current Helen M. Beach '24 Veterinary Medical Center with small animal surgical suites, anesthesia machines, electrocardiograph/blood pressure monitors, USDA-approved housing for dogs, cats and laboratory animal species.
Construction of a new VETERINARY EDUCATION CENTER will begin this summer and is slated to open for the Fall of 2019. It will be 9,000 square feet compared to the 5,400-square-foot Beach facility, which will be razed after the new veterinary building is completed. The new center will be built on the west side of the Brooks Science Complex. Plans call for it to include two surgery rooms, a dental room, recovery room and isolation room, as well as kennels and an indoor run for dogs, a cat room, office, lounge, clinical practice area and laundry facilities.
