Doctor of Occupational Therapy Graduation Requirements

To graduate from the Wilson Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program, students must maintain good academic and professional standing, demonstrate consistent progress throughout the program, and successfully meet all academic, fieldwork, capstone, and institutional requirements. The following criteria must be fulfilled:

  • Completion of Coursework and Degree Requirements: Successfully complete all required coursework and degree requirements within six years of beginning the OTD program.
  • Minimum Academic Standards: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and achieve a grade of “B-” (80%) or higher in all academic courses, as outlined in each course syllabus.
  • Fieldwork Completion: Successfully complete all Level II fieldwork within 12 months following the completion of the didactic portion of the program.
  • Capstone Completion: Successfully complete the doctoral capstone experience and capstone project, including all required presentations and documentation, within 12 months following the completion of Level II fieldwork.
  • Professional Conduct: Exhibit professional behaviors in accordance with the Wilson Honor Code, OT Code of Ethics, and OTD program standards.
  • Graduation Documentation: Complete all required Wilson College and OTD program documents necessary for graduation.
  • Good Financial Standing: Fulfill all tuition, fees, and financial obligations to Wilson College prior to degree conferral.

Failure to meet any of these requirements may result in delayed graduation or ineligibility for degree conferral. Students are responsible for ensuring that all academic, professional, and financial obligations are satisfied within the designated timeframe.
