Master of Arts in Humanities Mission Statement

Wilson College’s Master’s in Humanities program believes that the study of the humanities encompasses understanding the world we live in—and those that came before—through the exploration of cultural artifacts, principles, philosophies, and ideas. Our program teaches its students to be active and able researchers, gifted writers, and skillful interpreters of culture. As such, most students discover that the humanities is not only the best way to learn about their world—it is also the best way learn about themselves and others.
